The 2020 season isn't over for us yet, but in 2021 the Mariners aren't done yet. We're got $23M in dead salaries coming off the books. That will help cover the $3M increase and all of Gerrit Cole's salary. We also have a bunch of contracts coming off the books in Loup, Soria, Wilson, La Stella, Cespedes and Dyson clearing $22.5M. We have some other decisions to make regarding options then as well.

Who's on the block:
1. Madison Bumgarner - Relatively team friendly $11.5M contract. One year left on his deal. While his RL 2020 season wasn't the best, he should still get a solid enough projection.
2. Cole Hamels - Again, a relatively team friendly $14.2M option for 2021. Cole didn't pitch much in RL 2020, but again his projection should be decent enough. Both he and MadBum could potentially be great for a team looking for that last rotation piece to compete in 2021.

-- For these two, we're looking for a draft pick or two.

3. Tim Anderson - We've got an over abundance of middle infielders so we can afford to let one walk via trade. Anderson will be YOS 5 so definitely a LTC candidate.
4. Didi Gregorius - Another one of those middle infielders and has two years left with a 2022 expiring contract making just $9.241M.
5. Jurickson Profar - Only entering YOS 3 next season. Really solid season for the Padres this year in RL 2020.

-- We'regoing to be looking for a package of prospects/picks in return for one, MAYBE two of these guys. They all had really solid 2020 seasons so their projections should be pretty good.

6. Gary Sanchez - Let's be honest, in RL 2020, Gary had a subpar season. In the WLSB, he's LTC eligible or YOS 6 arbitration. He's a power hitting catcher who will hit you 30 home runs a season. The issue is that we really don't have someone else who can fill his void on our roster.

-- Not really sure what we are looking for as a return, but if you are interested, shoot me a message and we can discuss.

7. Mookie Betts
8. George Springer

-- Make me an offer. We want good prospects and picks in return. Both of these players are team changers so we're going to want a haul back in return, Betts definitely more so than Springer, but still a great package for each.

I'll say this as well, no one is "off the table" in terms of trade talks. We'd consider just about anything. Hell we'd even try and get creative to take on that fat Mike Trout contract.
